Sona’s Significant Risk Transfer (‘SRT’) strategy targets bank capital relief and de-risking trades. The firm views the asset class as a durable long-term opportunity set and a scalable business that the firm is committed to. The SRT business fits with Sona’s DNA of taking fundamental views on credit risk that we are constructive on, while leveraging our leading franchise and our strong partnerships with the banks. Sona brings the strength of the overall platform to the SRT strategy. We have in-depth structuring knowledge, and we have built a sustainable long-term business model leveraging our market connectivity, bank relationships and broad issuer level credit knowledge. We believe this combination of skillsets can allow us to source and underwrite compelling opportunities with a focus on structures and collateral that aim to/seek to maximize risk adjusted returns while minimizing downside risk.
