Adam Jakimo

Adam Jakimo is the Head of US CLOs at Sona Asset Management, having joined the firm in June 2025.  He brings 19 years of investment experience across high-yield bonds, leveraged loans, and private credit; including 14 years dedicated to investing in and managing CLOs.  Before Sona, Adam was a founding team member of Elmwood Asset Management, where he played a key role in scaling the platform to over $20 billion in CLO assets under management.  Over his tenure, he covered a wide range of sectors and, at the time of his departure, led investments in healthcare and business services.  From 2011 to 2018, Adam held senior investment roles at Telos Asset Management (formerly Tricadia Loan Management). Adam began his career at CIT Group, serving as an Assistant Vice President in the Capital Markets group.  There, he focused on originating, structuring, executing, and syndicating leveraged loan transactions, while also evaluating mezzanine opportunities through 505 Capital Partners, CIT’s joint venture investing in second lien and subordinated debt.  He holds a B.S. in Finance with a concentration in Accounting–Financial Analysis from Lehigh University’s College of Business and Economics.
