Craig Nicol

Craig Nicol is Head of Credit Strategy at Sona. Craig joined Sona in June 2025 and has 15 years of experience in financial markets.

Craig previously worked at Barclays in the Research Team where he looked after European Leveraged Finance Strategy. As an Institutional Investor top-ranked Strategist, in this role Craig was responsible for owning Barclays’ Research view on Leveraged Finance markets. Prior to this, Craig worked at Deutsche Bank for 8 years in a similar capacity, after starting his career as a High-Yield analyst at Threadneedle Investments.

Craig holds a BA in Economics from the University of Manchester.
