Joon Kim
Managing Director
Joon Kim is a MD at Sona Asset Management focused on private credit and special situations. He joined Sona in April 2021.
Joon joined Sona from Oaktree Capital, where he had been since 2016. At Oaktree, Joon was part of the Distressed Opportunities team and was responsible for the execution, monitoring and sourcing of private investment opportunities in the distressed space. Prior to Oaktree, Joon worked at Citigroup Global Markets on the Iberian M&A team. Joon started his career in 2012 as a management consultant at Arthur D. Little.
Joon received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the ESADE Business School in Barcelona.
