David Hill

David Hill joined Sona Asset Management as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in October 2025. He brings over 20 years of experience, including 12 years in CFO roles.

Prior to joining Sona, David was CFO at Cheyne Capital, a $14 billion alternative asset manager, where he was responsible for management and fund accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting. He also served on the Executive Committee, overseeing strategy and planning. Before that, he held roles as Head of Finance and later CFO at Finisterre Capital. He began his career as an auditor and tax consultant at Kinetic Partners.

David holds a BA (Hons) in Business Studies from Bournemouth University. He is a Chartered Accountant (ICAEW) and is also CTA qualified.
