“JP Berkery is a Partner and the COO of Sona Asset Management. He has 19 years of credit market experience and joined Sona when it commenced trading in September 2016.
Starting in 2002, JP spent the first four years of his career between Bank of America and Credit Suisse Asset Management, trading investment grade credit at the latter. He then joined Claren Road Asset Management in November 2005 and was promoted to COO of their London office in October 2010. There he worked closely with John Aylward to build Claren Road’s European credit business. In December 2013, JP was appointed global head of operations, funding and collateral management at Claren Road Asset Management in New York.
JP holds a BSc in Political Science and Government from Georgetown University. “
